If you’re trying to get away, but rather not go anywhere far – Little Jimmy is a great little getaway just outside of Los Angeles. Perfect for an overnight backpacking trip!

TRAILHEAD & WHERE TO PARK:
+ Park at Mt Islip Saddle parking lot and then cross the highway to the trail head, there will be a sign to campground.
ARE PERMITS REQUIRED?
+ You’re not required to have a permit to backpack/camp, but you’ll need to display an adventure pass ($5, which you could get at the ranger station or big 5 sporting goods).
